Birdland Caravan's Saturday Events Grounded by Winter Storm
A winter storm is about to throw a curveball at sports fans! All Birdland Caravan events planned for Saturday, January 24, are canceled due to the severe winter weather forecast across the southern, eastern, and mid-Atlantic regions. This includes the highly anticipated Breakfast with the O's and Duckpin Bowling, for which fans had already purchased tickets.
The decision to cancel was not taken lightly. It was a coordinated effort with meteorologists and in response to the Governor's State of Preparedness Order. The safety of fans, staff, players, and vendors is the top priority, especially with the storm affecting travel across the country.
But here's where it gets tricky: the Oriole Bird and Mr. Splash Meet & Greet, scheduled for Friday, is also canceled. This is to ensure the safety of those traveling to and from Baltimore. However, some players will still be attending Friday's events, such as Adley Rutschman and Tyler Wells at the Arcade Happy Hour, and Craig Albernaz, Samuel Basallo, and Dylan Beavers at Flight Night.
Birdland fans, we know this is a letdown, but your safety is paramount. We urge you to heed the Governor's advice for emergency preparedness and check weather.gov regularly for updates. And don't worry, we've got your back! Fans who bought tickets for Saturday's events will receive refund details via email on Thursday.
Stay tuned for future events with O's Alumni and mascots as we eagerly await Opening Day on March 26 against Minnesota. We'll keep you posted on any further weather-related changes.
