HMD Unveils Watch X1 and Watch P1, Along with Six New Dub Series TWS Earbuds
HMD has entered the smartwatch arena with the unveiling of its premium Watch X1 and versatile Watch P1. These watches are accompanied by six new TWS earbuds in the Dub series, offering a range of features and functionalities.
HMD Watch X1 and Watch P1
The Watch X1 boasts a 1.43" AMOLED display with a resolution of 466x466 pixels and a peak brightness of 600 nits. As an OLED display, it supports Always On Display (AOD) functionality and animated watch faces. The Watch P1, on the other hand, features a 1.83" LCD display with a resolution of 240x284 pixels and a peak brightness of 550 nits.
Both watches run on a proprietary real-time operating system (RTOS) and can be controlled via the HMD Watch App, available for both Android and iOS devices. The Watch X1 is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, while the Watch P1 is IP67 rated.
Key features shared by both watches include Bluetooth calling, app and message notifications, and music controls. They also come equipped with heart-rate and SpO2 sensors, capable of tracking over 700 activities. Additionally, they offer sleep and stress monitoring, as well as active calorie tracking. Standard 22mm straps allow for easy customization.
The Watch X1 offers up to 5 days of battery life with AOD enabled, while the Watch P1 provides up to 4 days of usage. Both watches utilize proprietary magnetic chargers for convenient charging.
HMD Watch X1
The Watch X1 is available in four color options: Gray Green, Black, Gray Metallic, and Silver Leather. Pricing and availability details for the Watch X1 have not yet been disclosed by HMD.
HMD Watch P1
The Watch P1 is offered in two color options: Black and Silver. Similar to the Watch X1, HMD has not revealed pricing and availability information for the Watch P1.
HMD Dub Series TWS Earbuds
HMD also introduced six new TWS earbuds in the Dub series. The flagship model, Dub X50 Pro, stands out with its Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), up to 60 hours of playtime (15.8 hours from the buds), IPX4 splash resistance, and quad microphones.
HMD Dub X50 Pro and Dub X50
The Dub X50 offers similar specifications to the X50 Pro but omits the ANC feature. This results in a total playback time of 70 hours, with an impressive 17.9 hours coming from the earbuds themselves.
The Dub S60 provides up to 35 hours of total playtime and includes Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). The Dub P70 features ANC and boasts up to 45 hours of total playback. The Dub P60 offers 30 hours of playback, while the Dub P50 is rated for 25 hours.
HMD has set the retail price of the Dub X50 at PHP 1,790 ($30) in the Philippines. The Dub S60 will be available for PHP 1,690 ($28), and the Dub P60 is priced at PHP 1,190 ($20).
