Sergio Perez's rollercoaster ride in Formula 1 continues, and his latest comeback is turning heads! After a season of intense scrutiny, Perez has the last laugh, especially when you compare his performance to those who followed him.
In the 2023 season, Perez secured second place in the championship. However, the 2024 season brought challenges. Scoring only 152 points compared to teammate Max Verstappen's impressive 437, Perez not only missed out on a grand prix win but also contributed to Red Bull's loss of the third spot in the Constructors’ Championship.
This led to Perez and Red Bull parting ways at the end of the year, despite the team's initial hope that re-signing him would boost his confidence.
Enter Liam Lawson, whose performance was underwhelming. He struggled, with three Q1 exits in two grand prix weekends. Then came Yuki Tsunoda, who took over in the RB20 for the 2024 Abu Dhabi post-season test, expressing confidence that the car suited his driving style. But his results didn't reflect his words.
Tsunoda's performance with Red Bull in 2025 saw him scoring only 30 points across 22 grands prix, leading to his removal at the end of the season. Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls is set to replace him.

While Tsunoda will serve as a reserve driver for Red Bull and Racing Bulls in the upcoming championship, Perez is set to return to a race seat with Cadillac, the sport's newest team.
Perez recently tested an unmarked Ferrari at Imola, completing 183 laps. His new team principal, Graeme Lowdow, noted Perez's enthusiasm and positive attitude. Lowdow also highlighted the importance of Perez getting back in the car and working with the crew, emphasizing the need for him to adjust to the physical demands and procedures.
